Cya Keon

I don’t remember him. Was he any good or ever going to play?

Idk how to format this the right way. He was a 4 star in the '20 class and committed to Depaul.

Blurb from Robin's story on him transferring here:

Nebraska basketball added another piece to its roster in landing a commitment from freshman DePaul transfer

Keon Edwards
on Saturday.

Edwards, a 6-7 wing, was offered by the Huskers shortly after head coach Fred Hoiberg and staff took over in 2019. He held a Zoom meeting with NU’s coaches last Friday, and the second round of his recruitment quickly escalated from there.

Edwards chose Nebraska over other offers from Georgia, Texas A&M, Florida State, Arizona State, Alabama, and Auburn.

I almost feel bad for giving no shits but take the apathy I have towards football until they prove it and multiply it times 10 for basketball. I was so convinced they’d be good this year, I’m out until they prove it in conference.

Will we have enough guys to field a team next year? Any news on potential assistant coach hires?

I never really understood why he was starting: he would start, do nothing, and not play the rest of the game
Thats what I was going to say. Even the games he started he usually played much less in the 2nd than the 1st half.

Edwards was a 5 Star and ranked in the Top 25 until he re-classified up a class/year. Then Rivals dropped him to a 4 Star. Seems like the rating services were way off on him. I had high hopes for him but guess it just wasn't in the cards.
