We're a little over 50 hours from kickoff and I've got Nebraska Football on the brain. I didn't join HuskerOnline until 2006 so this was before I started following recruiting. Jammal Lord's first start against Arizona St I sat in West Stadium around the 30 yard line with my uncle. I always remembered him pointing out #7 in red to me and telling me he's the future at QB.

Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone knows what the story was on him? Why did he leave? I think he was forgotten quickly as Joe Dailey came in the next year and I remember the Dailey chants in the stadium that season.

he was a run first QB, iirc. I don't think he was going to fit when Solich brought in Barney to modernize the pass game


he was a nice dude, though. I had a class with him and he lived with some friends of mine

Loved him in Bloodsport!

I just watched bloodsport this past weekend. The bad acting and lack of script really hold up even to this day.

The people I made watch it had never seen it and were all fascinated with the “based on a true story” of it all, and how all of that story was a lie that Frank Dux swears by today.

Curt Dukes transferred to Duke where he didn't play much there either. I believe he went there to pursue academics as he was a smart dude.

He left NU because he wasn't a good QB and wasn't going to play.
