Don't get me wrong, any chance to laugh at them is great, I just feel like I'm missing some context here haha. Were they expecting some mythical "big name WR coach" to get hired?

I think it's hilarious when a fanbase thinks a WR coach is gonna be a massive difference maker for their team. It's not worth getting your panties in a bunch over a WR coach. That position group needs TALENT above all. Size, speed, strength, athleticism....talent. That's how you look like an amazing WR coach, have players like that.

That's part of their worry with this hire. This guy is Deacon Hills QB whisperer. He oversaw the two worst ever seasons of QB play in Cockeye history and his background is all QB based. So they hired a guy who the fan base feels can't recruit for shit and has never coached or developed a WR.
