Dean: Gary Barta has announced his retirement as Cockeye’s AD effective immediately.

Sipple: Effective August 1.

Dean: Which is essentially immediately.

With his departure 8/1 he’ll be in transition mode for his last three months. Likely has PT to take, etc, and his main task will be to do a dump of current issue facts and history. He’s now a lame duck and will make no more decisions and have no influence. It also means they for sure have an interim snd maybe a successor . He could even end up on what the Brits call garden leave.
