Does anyone know why it went south at Xavier?

Just watching his HS ball in NJ, he was one of the best players on the court in a damn good league that produces multiple high major guys.

A former four-star recruit coming out of Plainfield (N.J.), Roselle Catholic, Wilcher only played in 15 games with one start and averaged just 3.3 points in 10 minutes per game as a true freshman for Xavier this season. Hoping he just wasn't interested his freshmen year and his crush on Fred will make his game better here.

I read an interview he gave and it sounded like Xavier's offense wasn't necessarily a good fit. He referenced having to think too much instead of just playing basketball. I could see Fred's free-flowing system being better for him.

Floating point forward 4. I can confidently say he's not a 2 or 5.
He's a weird player in that he can probably create for others at a very high level consistently, but he can do almost nothing to create for himself. He should be able to use his size on guards but he can't consistently and it doesn't seem like he's got a foot speed advantage on bigs.

That about sums it up.

From the little I have been able to put together last season didn't go well on many levels. They have at least 5 players leaving the program, many of which were starters plus a couple Asst Coaches have moved on. Hopefully their loss is our gain. GBF
