Win 2 of 3 and NU will finish with 40 wins and a RPI around 13. Do this and the B1G tourney is just about improving seeding

That's true. But I think the 10 seed is going to be Rutgers, and you would have to feel good about facing their Sunday guy Dallin Harrison, who's allowed 63 hits and 43 runs in 38 innings pitched.

I feel fine about the matchup, I would not feel good about getting a host if we lost

Actually they would have already used their Sunday guy. We’d face their midweek guy - If I’m reading the format correctly(assuming we’re a 2 seed)

My point is I think Nebraska would pour it on early vs. a 10 seed being forced to pitch their #3 or 4 starter on a Friday night in front of 15,000 Nebraska fans. And I wouldn't see them losing that game.

Now, on the flip side of that, I think it would be more likely that Nebraska draws a team like Ohio State. And I think losing a 4th time to Ohio State would be as detrimental as losing to a 10 seed.

That specific matchup could be the nail in the host coffin in the eyes of people who matter.

If we are a two seed - best case scenario would be Michigan . A loss to a Q1 opponent wouldn’t hurt much
