Frost show up drunk?
I'm sure I could rack my brain for people I care about hearing from less than Bill Moos, but it'd be a short list
There is a chapter dedicated to Moos and Sipple trying to pick up chicks at fast food restaurants drunk, that should be fun to read.
I wonder how he imagined "I knew Frost wasn't ready, but I was too weak of a leader to not just hire him anyways" was going to play when he wrote it down.

He was screwed no matter what he did haha.
I mean he could have crushed the hire with someone who was an excellent football coach but that would have required working for his 7 figure salary

He wouldn't be the first or the last AD to pass on a fan favorite alumni. The reality is is Moos was here for a good time and not a long time and doing the easy thing was... easier

Hire the guy that everybody in the state wants you to hire, ride with him until he fails, get paid a lot of money to do so.

Why was Moos’ wife sitting in on meetings and what not - crazy
The entire thing was set in motion to hire Scott Frost. Moos’s responsibilities were ministerial at best.
I know it’s hard to remember, but we effectively fired Riley 3 games into his third season. That was coming off a 9 win season when we were ranked as high as #7 in the country before losing in OT (as Nebraska does) on the road at Wisconsin.
Whatever you think of Riley it was a rush job with one goal in mind. It’s mind boggling today to think that we would ever telegraph the firing of a head coach 3 games into his third season.
The only reason Moos had the job was to hire Frost.
