LOS ANGELES - The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team earned a 3-1 (25-17, 25-23, 19-25, 25-15) victory at UCLA on Friday night. The match was played in front of a crowd of 10,498, a UCLA women's volleyball attendance record at Pauley Pavilion.

Although the Huskers' runs of 47 consecutive sets won and 15 consecutive sweeps came to an end, Nebraska answered the set three setback emphatically to improve to 25-0 on the season and 15-0 in Big Ten play. UCLA fell to 14-11 (8-7 Big Ten).

Andi Jackson tied her season high with 15 kills and hit .625 with no errors. Harper Murray added 14 kills, and Rebekah Allick tied her season high with 13 kills on .440 hitting with seven blocks.

Taylor Landfair chipped in five kills and six blocks, while Virginia Adriano and Allie Sczech each had two kills.

Bergen Reilly posted 34 assists and 11 digs while leading the Huskers to a .299 hitting percentage. It was her sixth double-double of the season. The Bruins hit .221 on the night.

Laney Choboy had 14 digs, though the Huskers were outdug for the first time this season (59-48). UCLA had a 55-53 edge in kills, while the Huskers had a 10-7 advantage in blocks. Nebraska committed just 12 attacking errors to 25 for the Bruins.

Set 1: The Huskers went on a 7-1 run to take a 10-6 lead. Landfair had two blocks in that stretch, one with Jackson and one with Landfair. Landfair recorded back-to-back kills before a block with Allick, and then Adriano fired a kill for a 14-7 lead. Landfair served a 5-0 run to make it 19-9, including four kills by Allick and a block by the senior middle blocker with Adriano. After UCLA went on a 5-0 run to pull within 19-14, Nebraska closed out the set with a 6-3 spurt to win 25-17. Murray had three kills down the stretch. NU held UCLA to .000 hitting in the opening set.

Set 2: UCLA got off to a 6-2 start and increased the lead to 10-5 after three kills in a row by Maggie Li. After a timeout, the Huskers benefitted from a UCLA service error before two blocks by Allick and Landfair around an ace by Jackson cut it to 10-9. Landfair had a kill, Sczech had a solo block, and a kill by Allick put NU ahead 13-12. UCLA regained an 18-16 lead off the arm of Li, but Jackson and Allick tallied two straight kills to help the Huskers go up 19-18. With the score tied 19-19, Reilly served a 4-0 Husker run that included an ace and kills by Allick and Landfair. The Huskers led 23-19, but UCLA scored two to cut the lead to 23-21. Allick answered with a sideout kill for set point, but UCLA fought off two set points before Murray finished it off, 25-23, with a kill.

Set 3: Sczech and Allick started the set with a block, and Jackson and Sczech had kills for a 3-0 lead. Jackson then sandwiched two kills around an ace by Olivia Mauch to make it 6-1. UCLA battled back though to take an 11-10 lead after a 7-2 run that included seven UCLA kills. A kill by Allick and ace by Landfair made it 12-11 Huskers, but UCLA scored the next four to gain a 15-12 lead. Two kills by Murray cut it to 15-14, but the Bruins went back up 18-15. After a Jackson kill, the Bruins went on a 5-0 run to take control, 23-16, and UCLA won 25-19, ending the Huskers' streak of consecutive sets won at 47.

Set 4: Murray and Allick got NU off to a strong start with a block and a kill apiece for a 4-1 advantage. Murray and Jackson added kills as the Huskers went up 10-4. UCLA pulled within three at 14-11, but Murray and Jackson pounded kills before Mauch served her second ace, and the Huskers took an 18-11 lead. Murray and Jackson produced kills once again for the Big Red, and a solo block by Landfair made it 21-12. Jackson then tallied her 14th and 15th kills for a 23-13 lead, and the Huskers completed the victory, 25-15, on Allick's 13th kill.
