Brief Week #10 B1G recaps

Minnesota 20, Nebraska 13
Mohamed Ibrahim rushed for 128 yards and two second-half touchdowns, and backup quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis brought Minnesota back from a 10-point halftime deficit in the Gophers' 20-13 victory over Nebraska. The Gophers beat the Cornhuskers for the fourth straight year and became bowl-eligible for the fourth time in coach P.J. Fleck's six seasons.

Ohio State 21, Northwestern 7
Miyan Williams ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns, and No. 2 Ohio State got all it could handle from Northwestern in a 21-7 victory on a rainy and windy Saturday. The Buckeyes came in tied with Tennessee in the AP poll and trailing only the Volunteers in the season’s first College Football Playoff rankings. Williams gave Ohio State the lead with a 27-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He made it 21-7 when he scored from the 2 with about 4 1/2 minutes remaining in the game after C.J. Stroud broke a 44-yard run.

Cockeye 24, Purdue 3
Kaleb Johnson ran for 200 yards on 22 carries, including a touchdown, and Spencer Petras passed for two touchdowns to power Cockeye past Purdue 24-3 on Saturday. Leading 17-3 at halftime, it took Cockeye just 17 seconds in the second half to push the lead to 24-3 on Johnson's 75-yard touchdown run. Petras finished 13 of 23 for 192 yards with two touchdowns.

Wisconsin 23, Maryland 10
Isaac Guerendo ran for an 89-yard touchdown and combined with Braelon Allen for 233 yards rushing as Wisconsin defeated Maryland 23-10 on Saturday. Allen rushed for 119 yards on 23 carries and gave the Badgers the lead for good with a 9-yard touchdown that opened the scoring late in the first period. Guerendo ran 12 times for a career-high 114 yards, including the 89-yard score that made it 14-0 in the second quarter.

Michigan State 23, Illinois 15
Payton Thorne threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns as Michigan State ended a troubling week where eight players were suspended for a post-game fight with Michigan last week by defeating No. 14 Illinois 23-15 on Saturday. The Spartans stopped the Illini five times on fourth down to end a three-game losing streak.

Penn State 45, Indiana 14
Kaytron Allen ran for 86 yards and scored a season-high three times Saturday while Nicholas Singleton rushed for 73 yards and another score to help No. 16 Penn State rout Indiana 45-14. The Nittany Lions have won eight of the last nine in this series and six of their wins this season have come by double digits.

Michigan 52, Rutgers 17
J.J. McCarthy threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, and No. 4 Michigan rallied from its first halftime deficit of the season to beat Rutgers 52-17 on Saturday night. Running back Blake Corum had two short TD runs and linebacker Michael Barrett intercepted two passes in a big third quarter, returning the second one 31 yards for a touchdown as Michigan (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten, No. 5 CFP) matched its best start since 2016. Rutgers lost its 36th straight game against a ranked opponent and its eighth in a row to Michigan.
