That one actually is defensible but the earlier call on Barney’s 50 ish yard play was awful - they made several holding calls on what were actually pancake blocks

By the way how did we have Big 12 refs in a home game against a Big 12 team? I thought interconference were supposed to be reffed by a third conference. But even if not you'd expect refs for the home team

In the bowl games I think you get neutral refs. Not that I know what a bowl game is or anything.

This was pathetic though. If we needed any more incentive to never schedule a Big 12 opponent for all of eternity this was it.

What's a power 5?

Well son, you see, it's like this. Back in the golden years of college football, before it was called CFB, there were perhaps dozens of what we called conferences. Now these conferences would sometimes be called the "Big 8" if it had 8 teams involved, or "Big 10", so on and so forth. Anyways, a few of these conferences started to distinguish themselves from the rest of the pack by pervasive cheating, scandal, and quality of football play, thereby earning more money from "tv deals" and becoming so called "power conferences" by the seeming power they held over the NCAA and the sport in general, not to mention their football was more powerful than the other conferences. It generally came to be that their was 5 "power conferences" shortened to "Power 5" or even "P5" if you were on the Internet too much. Now there are just 2 conferences that hold all the power and money and tell the NCAA to go suck shit. The rest of the conferences are a shell of themselves with poor quality teams and probably head lice at this point.

This was the least satisfying beat down of all time. We were robbed of the experience that this really should have been. Game would have been 42-3 if it was reffed fairly. We probably would have had a real field storming instead of a half assed effort.
