Best 3-8 team in history article

Such a waste of talent we are. We will be just bad enough to lose a bunch of games next year as well.

I am dreading seeing this offense without Toure and Allen but still with Adrian and our two OTs.

Plus the defense will take a step back next near....I mean how couldn't it?

Articles like this get shared by some to prove "how close we are." I find it to be the opposite: we had the pieces in place for a great season and ended up being plagued by the same mistakes and details that delineate good programs from bad.

The "tough schedule" part does not compute when you're losing to Illinois, Minnesota, and Purdue. This team does not do the little things that turn games into wins.

When your offense is called so poorly with terrible special teams it adds up. I think a good to decent OC is a massive upgrade.
I mean you fix red zone/inside the 40 offense, sack/pressure rate and special teams you are probably looking at a top 10 team.

Going to be a pretty big step back for the defense next year unless we can pull off a miracle and find an elite pass rusher or two in the portal.

Which is the biggest indictment of frost's coaching
I can understand the OL being awful as I think that is still in the process of rebuilding that room and even if Frost did everything perfect that ceiling of that room for this year was likely still very low.

Special teams is mind numbing how bad they have been. Like fucking dumb. How does your All B1G kicker go from that to head case? Then your back up who was a Juco All American, then he forgets how to kick the ball. Then one of your guys you are really excited for (Gifford) misses about the cleanest look you get on a kick off coverage unit. Just fucking dumb.

What's a very low ceiling to you for the OL? Because I don't think it got anywhere close to it's very low ceiling this year, which I would have said was an average OL based on the lack of experience.

Bottom 1/3rd of the conference.

I think having a very young group, poor roster management and poor game planning didn't do them any favors. 2/3 are 100% in your control.

I have said I felt HCMR destroyed that room and it was very hollow when Frost got here. That is part* of the growing pains we are seeing here.
