Nebraska, which leads the Big Ten, jumps into the rankings for the first time this season coming off a series win at Michigan State. Offensively, the Huskers made the most of a seven-hit output, scoring four runs, two each in the fourth and fifth innings. To finish off the series win, the Huskers won a Sunday marathon. With the teams tied 3-3 after the ninth inning, the bullpens took over until the top of the 12th, when Nebraska scored three runs, one on a Max Anderson single and two on a two-RBI single from Efry Cervantes. Koty Frank and Spencer Schwellenbach were great in relief, throwing seven combined scoreless innings. Schwellenbach has yet to allow a run on the mound this season in 14 innings of work.
