Turnovers make a huge difference in field position, but I don't want to gloss over the fact that Buschini being trash, punt returns being trash, a non-existent return game, and missing field goals all played a huge role in giving a good offense way too short of a field.
Nebraska had to go an average of 75.5 yards for a TD.
Colorado had to go an average of 57 yards for a TD.
Colorado had a Net difference of +18.5 yards PER DRIVE (240 total yards).
I've been tracking these numbers for a few years and the worst I had seen was -11.5 net yard average (-115 yards) @Michigan St in 2021. That same year we had a -10.5 net yard average (-166 yards) against Ohio State.
Those were awful, but this is just fucking flabbergasting.
