Auburn Board debate: Frost v Rhule

Frost being a more proven college coach than Rhule is probably the most tater take of all time

It’s funny to me when people say that we aren’t the most knowledgeable fans in CFB. I don’t either agree or disagree. I then read other teams’ boards and I believe that by a wide margin we are the smartest. We are still, as a whole, very stupid. But there are some really special humans in other parts of the country.

Frost does have as many wins over top 25 teams as HC as Rhule does. Both of them struck out vs top 25 teams while they were coaching P5 schools. But, you know, Rhule actually produced winning seasons at a P5 school. 🤷‍♂️

WTH did I just read?

I can't decide if RiceDP105 is a potato, or a piece of rice. Yeesh.

Good thing BobbySweatpants calls him out.

The difference in my mind is that Rhule didn't stay long enough to start beating top 25 teams. There's usually a process, and you don't start beating top 25 teams immediately at a place like Temple and Baylor.....and probably Nebraska for that matter.

Of course, I hope I'm right.

Pretty clear what's going on here is that the Rice guy's entire exposure to Frost and/or Rhule is Frost beating Auburn in a NY6 bowl and, by definition, beating Auburn is the biggest accomplishment any coach anywhere can ever hope to achieve.

It's also not true. Rhule beat 1 top 25 team while at Baylor and a couple while at Temple.

What Frost did at UCF was impressive. But it was clearly lightning in a bottle.

Also, everyone wins at UCF. They have like nine or ten 10-win seasons in the last 20 years, which is insane.

For as passionate as SEC fans are, they are dumb as fuck about football. Dumb as fuck about many things. Could be the predominance of T-Shirt fans but they never cease to amaze me.

The Paul Finebaum call-in show will make you question if we should have even fought the Civil War. Just let them leave.
