BTw, rick has that post saved for cut and paste. What you linked is at least the third time he's posted most of the exact same text over the past nine months.

He's trying not to say so explicitly, but repeatedly acknowledging that RSS isn't as good as it was in his memory. Which is fine. There's probably a clause in his contract that said he couldn't talk s*** about them after leaving as a contributor.
