i dont understand that at all. Excellent means there are future NFL starterS on the team. Unless our standards have fallen drastically…

He wasn't doing his job late in the year. He kept wanting to bounce everything rather than getting vertical.

I really like Ajay, but I'm with you. Not a surefire NFL player in the room.

I think there are 2 guys I am interested in (Ajay and Gabe). I think Ajay if healthy is an All Conference caliber RB. Gabe I think is solid. Grant pissed me off the 2nd half last year. He has the physical tools (not that top end speed you would want before @ChocaEgg comes at me), but man he was frustrating.

That all being said, you need some guys who have been injured to play well. Generally that doesn't go well. I am not as worried about Ajay, but I think that room is more questionable with potential and not excellent IYAM.

Now everything I have heard is that EJ is a stud RB coach, but that is a room where a good RB coach's impact isn't as large as some others when it comes to development.

IIRC in the Illinois' game, the play before Casey got hurt, Grant could have easily ran for a first down but proceeded to bounce it outside, not following any blockers.
