Yaaa we should've used more pistol and schemes he was more familiar with till he got better at running zone.. But we square pegged a round hole..

Later in year 2 I feel he adapted but he was running into so many OL it was driving me nuts year 1

Fixed it. Zero reason he shouldn’t have been able to figure out how to run behind a zone scheme until basically halfway through his senior year. He ran into so many OL when if he’d have just slid one way or the other the play would have been there.

I hate when a new player is learning a new offense that he isn't quite familiar with and isn't great right away. The coaches are showing and telling you what to do! Just because your familiarity and strength are with something else, if the coaches are telling you what to...this offense should come easy to you as well.
