We are at 71 scholarship athletes with room to add 14. That number will be changing. We still don't know what Casey Thompson, Garrett Nelson and Ochaun Mathis will be doing for example. Tomorrow is the day that the overall CFB portal will go absolutely nuts, but Husker players have had the ability to enter the portal ever since Rhule was hired based on what portal rules allow. But Monday will be a day to pay attention to as far as who might be available for the Huskers to pick up .......as well as who might leave.

I would expect us to lose at least 2 QB, 2 RB, 1 OL, 2 DL (including DE), 1 ILB/OLB, and 2 DB from that list.

My guess as to who will leave

2 QBs minimum (Smothers, Hunter Hurst Helmsley)
1-2 RBs (Yant and a young guy)
1-2 WR at least (Hardy, Jones)
1 TE (grab bag)
2 OL (please be Benhart)

2 DL (could be anyone)
2 LBs (Malcom, Gbayor)
3 DBs (Clark, Johnson, Gates)


They will need to be replaced as well as we will need extra reinforcements....

1 day one ready TE
2 QBs one starter and one project
At least 2 WRs
As many OL as we can buy
As many DL as we can buy
1 ILB
2 OLB/DE pass rush guys
