I had two sports heroes growing up in the 50's and 60's, Wilt Chamberlain and Willie Mays. I was fortunate enough to see Willie play a lot and followed him for years.

I have to agree with Vin Scully in the previous clip. Willie was the GOAT. No one was better at doing all 5 things a ball player is judged on. Hitting for average, lifetime .302. Hitting for power, 660 home runs including years at the home run smothering Candlestick Park in SF. Running, fielding and throwing.

There were players that were better at one or two of those categories but nobody did all 5 as well as he did. RIP Say Hey Kid.
