Basketball 2026 Big Ten Tournament: Seeding, Bracket, Non-NU Games

so we want Sparty to win tonight right? since we beat them we will be above them in the standings and in the top 4 for the triple bye?? If Pur-doo-doo wins we stay in the top 4 but they will jump to 3 and we will be the 4?? Not sure how much seeding matters for the B1G tourney but I'd rather have a higher seed (I think).

I see a lot of people arguing in X about if we shoot be cheering for Purdue or Michigan State tonight.
Could someone smart break it down? I feel like MSU is the answer since that moves us to 2nd and we also own the tiebreaker against them? But would that put them up more towards a 3 line in the tournament?

I think we should just win out and get a 2 seed, regardless of who wins tonight
Not an expert, but from what I'm gathering, MSU winning (and us winning out) puts us in a better matchups in the B10 tourment, but if MSU wins, we have to win out to gurentee the triple bye (where as MSU losing gives us the ability to take 1 more loss in the last 3 and still get the 4 spot. (if all the rest of the cards play out like they should)

Avoid Michigan at all costs that’s the easy answer IMO
MSU has a tough final four games. They're most likely going to go 1-3. We have the tie breaker over MSU and we don't over Purdue. We should be cheering for MSU tonight.

Indiana has been dogshit lately. If the bottom bracket holds true (it won't with all the matchups left on schedules) I could see Maryland playing UCLA for a chance to play us (bottom bracket)
That’s how I see it. Sparty win puts in the 2 spot, but I don’t think there’s much difference from one triple bye to the next. Just get the triple bye.

I've never wanted to be more of a bottom guy than right now.
