Just did some research on Trevon Leonhardt and i am completely sold and think Fred found a perfect fit if we land him….

1) He did a 2 year mission before starting CBB, so he’s currently 23 and will turn 24 in January (maturity, fill Masts ‘grandpa’ role)

2) He started every game at Utah Valley, leading them to 25-8 and an NIT berth this year (knows how to win)

3) He averaged over 6 assists and 5 rebounds per game from the PG position (yes you read that assist number correctly, good for 24th in the country)

If we land this dude and Fielder from Boise State my Kool-Aid cup will overflow… also another super punchable face to pair with Sandfort and Frager. Can’t go wrong with punchable face white dudes in the Big Ten!

That Cam's brother?

I view Sandfort and Frager as both the 3. Neither really wows me as someone I want at the 2 or 4 full time. Keep Frager as the 6th man?
Our best offense this year came with those 2 on the floor together, and they were all the time. Frager averaged just as many minutes as Berke. Refresh me who threw the pass to who on the Vandy gamw winner?

a lot of times when they were on the floor together it was still a combo of Sam, Jlaw, and Cale at the 1 or 2. Then Pryce at the 3 and Frager 4. Then either berke or mast at 5

Anyways main point is nba teams realized a decade plus ago that a great 6th man is just as valuable as any starter. Especially if he’s a flex tweener that can play multiple spots.

If that’s the way college is going frager provides amazing value as a 6th man over a starter with Pryce here depending on who they get in the portal

Pryce is way more of a catch and shoot guy than a on ball shot creator. Not saying he isn’t capable but no really an ideal full time 2 unless they get a great 1 that can distribute and create

He's both. Pryce drove to the basket a bunch this season creating his own shot. Hell, he shot 62% this season inside the arc. In fact, this point you're trying to make is comically incorrect.

Agree with this 100%. Pryce can put the ball on the floor and still shoot it. He can literally score anywhere on the floor. Wish he would attack the rim more and finish at the rim like he did against OU.

It'll depend on who they portal but Pryce and Frager will start either nominally at the 2/3 or nominally at the 3/4. They're both wings and they'll both start, but both need to tighten up their handle and improve shooting off the bounce

The people who don't understand modern "positionless" basketball is mind numbing. It's almost as if they don't watch games. People act as if Pryce never stepped foot inside of the 3 point line. Labeling a guy as a 1 or a 5 is useless anymore.
