NSFW Catholics - What’s the deal with them?!

Other religions don’t have the issue. You would flush out the gay pedos this way.
Other religions aren't immune. https://www.pennlive.com/news/erry-2018/05/5e56fa19a94444/child_sex_crimes_catholic_prie.html

Nor are coaches, teachers, boy scout leaders, etc.

None of this is to say that the years of child molestation that has been covered up and enabled by the Catholic church shouldn't be punished to the fullest extent of the law just that vigilance from parents and people in the community is probably a more effective solution.

This is also not to say that priests shouldn't be allowed to marry, just that it probably won't do much regarding pedophiles

Of course not but it would help the the problem out in a big way. It’s not as bad with Lutherans for some reason and their religion is basically the same. The obvious reason is their pastors can marry a woman. I’m Catholic and it’s sickening to me how those sick fucks at the top have let this shit go on forever with a blind eye.

Catholics also believe in transubstantiation. How do we know if they dropped that difference with Lutherans, the alleged difference in child molestation wouldn't disappear?

The hierarchy of the church and the systematic cover ups cause it to be more newsworthy leading to beliefs that it's more prevalent but I don't know that it really is.

Anything for the Catholic Church man

It is, but again that's not evidence of marriage as a solution
And I’ll never produce it because it’s impossible. I see it as common sense. It would help in my view. You seriously don’t think it would help in this regard if the Catholic Church allowed a priest to marry a woman?

The Catholic Church could fix the pedo problem by allowing priests to marry a woman. It would get rid of most of the gay pedo problems.
Gather ‘round, young people, while Uncle LHR gives you a little history lesson.

Once upon a time, priests married and had families like everyone else. There wasn’t a lot of diversity in religions back then (pre-Protestant revolution, England splitting from the Catholic Church, etc.), so most monarchs effectively made the Catholic religion the “state sponsored” faith.

For most people, life simply sucked. You lived in a hovel, lived miserably by modern standards, and died young. The local parish priest offered hope that the next realm would be better.

Naturally, people wanted to please the local emissary of God and frequently gave gifts or their entire estate to the church when they died.

Local priests began to accumulate wealth and started passing it down to their sons, who also became priests. Over time, their wealth and influence began to rival the local Sheriff, Duke, and Lords that comprised the government structure which existed during the Feudal era.

Eventually, the Kings of countries like England, France, Spain, Italy, etc. grew concerned that ALL of the power would consolidate itself under the church and undermine their monarchies.

So they did what Kings do: they made an offer that not even the Pope could refuse. They went to the Pope and said “We’ve got a problem and unless you want to go to war with ALL of us, we need to nip this problem In the bud.”

The results of that negotiation was an edict from the Pope that Priests could no longer marry and their wealth would transfer directly to the church. They would henceforth lead celibate lives of austerity in service to God. And leave the Nuns alone as they are brides of Christ, capiche?

Nowhere in that set of instructions was “it’s OK to diddle kids”. The ones that go down that path should be chemically castrated and banished to “leper island” until they die and head straight to Hades.

It’s obviously a problem that the church needs to fix. It’s funny how libtards like you always bring up the Catholic Church’s pedophile problems while ignoring the massive amount of pedo shit that occurs in our public school system, which dwarfs the Catholic Church’s issues.
Lol Tone a libtard?! Now I’ve heard everything

Isn’t it obvious OP?

Let the pedo kid diddler in charge of the congregation decide if a man and woman are a good fit for marriage. That's why I laugh at the catholic church. The person making the decision has zero fucking experience in marriage or children.

Born and raised catholic, stopped going because of common sense.

One of my good buddies (devoutly Catholic) has a fantastic retort to silly questions:

“Well … if priests can be marriage counselors … sure. Why not?”

Cracks me up whenever I hear him drop the line.

Us Lutherans are so much better. It's usually all the cool people that you know and want to be. Just walk into one of our churches once and you'll feel so much better about yourself
