At what point does someone stand up to this dogshit conference officiating? Whether it’s football or basketball it does not matter. We get fucked literally every game. What’s it going to take?

If you could change conferences, what would be your choice?

Haven't gone thru the whole thread yet, but is it possible with Curtis' performance tonight that Fred will give him a little more of a role going forward?

Mast has been exhausted the last 2 games, so it'll be interesting if Fred rolls with Leo for 2-4 minutes each half.
I thought he acquitted himself pretty nicely given the situation he was thrown into. Needs to pick his spots a little better on offense, but this team needs more big bodies to contribute. If he can gives us a couple of minutes on each side of a 4 minute TO that would give Mast a good rest.

Jacobsen was a boss against UM.

Curtis is capable to give us 10 minutes if the other team has a true big that won't stretch us.

Garcia is the one that I just don't see it with and it looks like Fred is coming to that conclusion as well based on dwindling minutes.

What is the story on Ugnius? Has he been officially shut down?

I hope so. To me, he definitely looked uncomfortable and awkward to start, but once he got in the flow of the game seemed to relax and pick up steam. He didn't do anything to be a massive difference maker quite yet, but he didn't hurt the team in his most extensive action against the best team we've played all year. It just feels like its brewing with him.

Oogie is done for the year to preserve a redshirt.
I'm assuming they're not saying "shut down" and giving periodic updates that he's unable to go so that they have their bases covered that he was hurt but trying for the full duration, & don't get screwed on any technicalities with the medical redshirt.

I would think so. His little hook from the left block was money last night.

There is no technicality to worry about in this case.

Less than 3 to 4 games played? ✔️
No game played after the halfway point of regular season? ✔️ (only game he played was New Hampshire, game 13 of a 31 game schedule)

That's the criteria. Oogie qualifies for a medical redshirt. Two checkmarks above, treatment & not playing = all the documentation required. My guess is, and it's purely a guess, NU isn't saying season ending just in case something would happen to Mast long term. But it has nothing to do with a technicality.
