Getting ready to start a new gig in a couple of weeks and they just sent me a link to Peter Millar in case I want to order anything. I don't know anything about the brand, but I know we've got some clothes snobs on the board... Good quality? Good deal? Here's an example of some of the shirts and pricing:

IMO, Peter Millar is the best polo available (now 57 of them in my closet). They have 2 different fits; classic & tailor. The classic fit has a longer tail in the back, not by much but there is a tail. These are typically the style you tuck in. The tailor fit, which is my preference, doesn't have a tail. These are typically the style you leave untucked & it's a clean look with shorts. With all of this said, the classic fit has way more options and colors to choose from.

The styles you have in the screenshot, be careful. The material some type of lining in them which makes me sweat like Rienk Mast after 2 minutes of play.

Lastly, and most important, wash in cold & do not put them in a dryer. Let them hang dry.

Sorry, I started typing what was supposed to be my quick advice about attire and next thing you know it was 3 paragraphs. 😳 Feel free to tap out whenever. But I employ a number of people and I deal with this type of stuff on the regular.

Each and every industry will have different standards so make your outside appearance blend in with the general style/look of your co-workers. Make your work ethic, your consistency, your attention to detail, your attitude, your care/passion for your job and your dependability stand out. The brand or cost doesn’t really matter much, unless it matters to your boss. (He/she probably doesn’t care) But you’ll know if it’s important to them. What your co-workers think doesn’t matter.

As an employer, these are the people I will do whatever I possibly can to retain and keep happy. When I was an employee, this is what I did to make myself indispensable. In the end, making your attire a competition is fools errand and often times counterproductive to your ultimate goal. Making yourself and your company as successful as possible. Let the women and weird dudes in your office waste their time competing over distractions while you’re busy becoming #1.

And trust me 99% of the time your boss sees and knows that you’re the one kicking ass and taking names. Even if they haven’t acknowledged it recently, they know… Sometimes the only difference between 2 very productive employees is one will continue to do their job without constant validation, raises, incentives etc… The other is equally productive but he/she is in your office every 3-6 months wanting a raise, feeling unappreciated with a list of every new responsibility they’ve voluntarily taken on in the last few months. All wrapped up in a detailed account of his/her entire personal life and struggles to really hammer home why he/she needs… X Y and Z measures or actions to be taken. He/she will often times wrap things up with a list of grievances he/she has with the rest of the office.

When the time comes to give everyone raises/bonuses, guess who’s getting the biggest bonus/raise? Once again, sorry about TL;DNR

lmfao. Couple years ago, tMB had a discount code for like 75% off and I bought 20 of them for the first time. This was before I knew about their tailor fit, and that's all I've bought since. I rarely if ever wear the 20 classic fits.

I have 2 more polos and 2 Perth Quarter-Zips on the way. Can't wait for the wife to bitch. I'll pull up the Ring videos of her daily Amazon packages. Waiting on their 2026 spring release, and will likely purchase another 15-20 then get rid of the classic fits.

Nice, you get line on any new codes bring’em by. This is the only message board I message board anymore.
