Huskers add a women's flag football team

Because this is the best and easiest way to circumnavigate Title IX problems. That is the hard truth. It is either that or cut another men's sports program .......
Most of the B1G is either already fielding a women's flag team or are preparing to. The 105 is going to be part of the reason why.
If I identify as a woman for this can I play? I think I could start at literally any position.
That won't fly in Nebraska, go try Minnesota.

People just don't get how much Title 9 has cost to men's sports.
We don't even have a men's soccer team, nor hockey, can't have Lacross for men, or rifle, we had to get rid of our men's gymnastics team for several years, a team that had put Olympic champions on our rosters.
We have a women’s bowling team. #silverlining

I'm dreaming for 255 wins in 25 years. Again.
I think this is where I am at. At least the high schools in this state already produce girl wrestlers.
And I am against adding girls flag football at the high school level, which I am sure will be pushed for if UNL gets a team. High school participation levels are at an all-time low. We don't need to be adding sports and spreading those athletes even thinner. Maybe Class A could handle it, but not below that.

Seems a little strange to portray this as some glass ceiling being broken. I think probably very few girls were told there was no path in football. I doubt it ever came up. Because it's football and they're girls. They were probably quite content playing volleyball or basketball or soccer or softball or whatever.
This has all been pushed by the NFL to make more girls football fans so they make more money. There has not been generations of girls yearning to play flag football.
