Well...that's the way things work out for us
I know this will piss off a lot of scrollers because it doesn’t fit their narrative but according to the On3 ND board many there thought Minchey may be headed to the Ducks before the Husker talk gained steam. FWIW.
I’ve been wondering what the hold up is. I get I’m not in the know on what’s going on and there could be something completely reasonable that’s delaying an announcement but the longer things take the more I get worried.
That would be something else though if our pick at QB goes to UO to keep their trend of balling out QBs going. No idea who our fallback option would be. Maybe Dylan Raiola? I hear he doesn’t have a team yet.
It’s hard not to worry anytime a Nebraska “done deal” isn’t getting done.
His visit is the 7th, I don't think the date has moved since Nakos revealed it last Friday night (Nakos seems to be pretty well connected to Minchey - he reported a lot on the ND QB battle before last season). I definitely lean to the delay being reasonable, but I understand the concern.
Since classes at Nebraska start the 12th I am guessing his visit trip and his moving trip will likely be one in the same.
It was supposed to be this past weekend with the possibility of him being at the MSU game.
that was the rumor earlier in the day Friday but by Friday night it was the 7th.
If he's the #2 pick in the draft, as most expect, no way he's staying.
Depends on his NIL package.
Some guys will make more there than on a rookie deal. I doubt that’s the case with the #2 pick when you factor in signing bonus and guarantees, etc.
Sorry to see Keona Davis leave. He was badly misused in our defense, would haven a very good defensive end. Wish him the best of luck.
The other factors are that a player going into the draft would be one year closer to his second contract-usually the one with the large signing bonus if he's performed well and the risk of injury.

it's really not even close. last year's 32nd pick signed for about $15 million, and the #10 pick signed a $26 million contract. and that's not factoring in being 1 year closer to being vested in their pension and being a free agent to sign the 2nd NFL contract
no one with a grade in the top half of the first round is coming back for 1 year of NIL
