Strawman. We’re not a serious program if we don’t accumulate a large quantity of quality players that would reflect a top 2 or 3 portal class ranking. We’re not a serious program if we don’t outbid everyone for every player
There is a segment of the board that is of the opinion that setting a range for a positional prospect is intentionally handcuffing NU to not play the portal game as it is "constructed". The reality is that it's a pay to play situation and NU needs to PAY at positions of need, QB being a MAJOR one.I guess I missed that then. It seems most i've read are more in line with what I posted above.
I know there's been some irrational posts and I'm probably guilty of it myself but it's hard not to feel like the dark times that are NU fb, aren't getting darker in a lot of aspects.
Do you think signing or not signing a back up QB will make the difference? In fact, couldn’t letting one player walk actually potentially help us sign more quality players?Strawman. “looks like we’ll have room for you after all!”Dean reporting that Braylen Prude is back N. Taste it haters
it doesn't matter. He is almost certainly a DSA. He doesn't use a roster spot or any rev share. That seems unfortunate
That doesn't make it betterPer Max Olson from ESPN, he stated that NU was offering more money to Minchey than Kentucky.

I like the Kentucky version where they doubled his nilPer Max Olson from ESPN, he stated that NU was offering more money to Minchey than Kentucky.

I know I do.Maybe Minchey has a love for bourbon.
the question about your analysis is this: Was Minchey so attractive because they liked him the best or because he gave them the best ROI at the expected cost? There is a segment of the board that is of the opinion that setting a range for a positional prospect is intentionally handcuffing NU to not play the portal game as it is "constructed". I'm of the opinion that the strategy NU implemented for the QB room was the wrong strategy, a risky strategy, but a strategy that could have had a high ROI.
Now NU is in a position that they will have to pay more than they wanted because now they will be bringing in a guy who will expect to be the starter, and in turn have to pay LaQueef more to keep him.
The strategy backfired and now they will have to spend the equivalent of what they would have had to pay Minchey to keep him from Kentucky.
Ironically, I think that the backfired strategy will end up being a positive for NU. They will end up with a QB that has bona fides.
Sounds like it was coaching and their track record with QBs.So the only thing that kept him from signing with Nebraska was that it was Nebraska.

Don’t we allMaybe Minchey just wants to be able to do meth and fuck his cousin.
We could have set him up with an apartment in Council Bluffs if he would have just askedMaybe Minchey just wants to be able to do meth and fuck his cousin.
I think they saw mINCHey as an unknown that they could get at a good value that would have to "compete" with LaQueef and allow NU to not have to pay more money to LaQueef to match mINCHey so the "competition" would be real.the question about your analysis is this: Was Minchey so attractive because they liked him the best or because he gave them the best ROI at the expected cost?
In other words, if we knew we'd have to pay 2.5M, would we rather have Chiles or Colandrea, for example, than Minchey because they might have a higher gross return?
I don't think we'll have to pay Lateef anything more. He'll be better off with a one and done. Has nothing to complain about.
Probably a factor.Kentucky promised he would be the starter. We did not.
