I’d argue he is way more of a benefit in his current role. I know this board hates Barstool for some reason but the Stool is very popular for males age 14-64. (I mean my Dad likes them and he is 62) He benefits Nebraska much more being a former player who still loves the program who has a popular national podcast on the Barstool network. When he does crossover podcasts or goes to barstool HQ3 in NY he reaches more people in a day than somebody in Lincoln could in a week.
Same with former players who are now high school coaches around the country.
