Breaking Dylan to portal

As long as you say Gods plan it releases you from all responsibility right?
Never saw it with Raiola. I know a lot of Husker fans touting that he is a NFL QB. Arm talent is not elite. Throws very inaccurate deep ball. Slow blinker/processor. Worse pocket presence than Shadeur Sanders. Poor athleticism.

There’s always going to be some coach that sees Dylan throw the ball & thinks they can fix him. A place with talent like Oregon will help him but it’ll be hilarious if dan lanning success on offense left for Kentucky right when Dylan & dom thought the grass was greener.
I believe we’re better off spreading our money around to the rest of the roster & finding a smart/tough QB who can run the offense & distribute vs the soft five star who’s fam demands & expects first round QB numbers when their kid isn’t playing like one. It’s rare for QBs to carry teams in cfb unless they are freaks or future top ten nfl QBs, Dylan hasn’t shown he is either.
Spend money on the OL/RB/WRs/DL & find a guy who can run the offense. No overpaid QB or raw project like simms. I never thought Taylor Martinez or Joe Ganz or Zac Taylor would still be the best QBs we’ve had in 20 years.

Without a doubt there was moments you could see he had an elite arm with elite accuracy inside 20 yards.
But I agree that unless he drastically improves his pocket presence and deep ball he's probably not going to be an NFL QB

With Dayton not signing, I strongly believe Dom is trying to get a package deal for both of them. Indiana seems to love the brotherly QB thing.
If WE all knew Dylan was going to the portal isn't it conceivable that MR knew as well and has had his team combing the possible QB's going into the portal to find who they want? God I would hope so! Will be interesting to see all the speculation of who we THINK they will get, because the program def NEEDS a portal QB. I'm not going to try and guess who it will be but I will be cautiously optimistic that Rhule and staff will get someone THEY think fits the bill.

This is correct. I’ll add some personal conjecture to that, that I think Dom went as far to sabotage the relationship by asking for unreasonable things so they could blame the de-commitment and transfer of Dylan on Nebraska.
They definitely had a list before today. The challenge is I don’t see us tampering to get the guy we really want before it becomes an open market item.
I thought @HuskerGarrett said $3.5+ mil. Not sure though.
Hard to know what the real numbers are but point was he's probably not taking a pay cut.

I've heard from a reliable source that's no longer an issue. We've joined in on the game.
There's a RB in the ACC who is not in the portal that we're going after pretty hard.
Isn't there a point where a parent has to back away from decisions their kids make? I could see Dom wanting to get the best for Dayton but cot dayum leave Dylan to make his own decision...like he supposedly did when he decided to come to DONU in the first place.
I guess when millions are on the line though...
