That may be true but I also believe a better DC could’ve gotten more out of the players we do have

If your defense is out of position repeatedly and it is your job to coach your assistant coaches on where you want them...you kind of have to fall on the sword as the DC. However you also need a new DL coach and LB coach as they performed like absolute ass this year.

I mean, Rhule might have felt the performance was unacceptable.

They gave up a shit ton of rushing yards all year. Rhule may have just felt that that is unacceptable regardless of the personnel you have to work with.

I thought our DL and LB talent was way subpar, so I thought it would be difficult to blame the DC for that.

Color me shocked that the guy who was in the NFL for 10 years and couldn’t get a coordinator job was a bad hire to be a college defensive coordinator in 2025.

Multiple reasons for my LOL...

1) We essentially helped force an extremely good DC out with the Butler hire who had only one year of DC experience over a decade ago
2) Rhule again showing he's not doing all that great hiring coordinators, as he will now be on his 7th

I'll stop there... for now.
