I did the EXACT same maneuver on Leavenworth Street securing a parking spot right in front of the Marlebone Tavern on St. Patrick's Day. Even left some skid marks across the shamrock they paint in the middle of the street.
This was about 11 in the morning, and I was already "well underway" in enjoying 'Merica's favorite drinking holiday. Whilst wandering through the crowd there, I met a lovely young blonde and in the process of meeting her, I stumbled and pretty much face planted on the floor. Popped right back up again, continued the introduction and somehow that impressed her.
She turned out to be "Bunny Candy" and worked at the Playboy Club when it was based in the Sheraton Hotel off of 120th & L streets. We dated for several months until I met her new roommate, who was also someone that I'd administered a good weinering to a few years before. Being supremely (over)confident at that age, I promptly suggested a threesome since we were all acquainted with my peen. "I'll take things that didn't go well for $500, Alex". I tried. 🤷♂️
Stories like this are also the reason why I had to part ways with the "demon rum" and stop drinking for effect. But c'mon, I was REALLY good at it!

Burkhead had a great game, and was basically our whole offense.
