I like none of them, but I said 2-2.

I think we win UCLA and Penn State, but drop games to USC and Cockeye.
This is probably what should happen based on ytd performance, but I don't see us winning two more road games.

However, looking at UCLA's and Penn State's remaining schedules, it is a distinct possibility neither one is going to a bowl game. UCLA almost certainly is not. If Penn State loses to Michigan State after playing Ohio State and Indiana, then that dramatically helps our chances. They'll be dead in the water and you may see roster defections and injury shutdowns come in to play.

I begrudgingly voted 1-3 in haste, but the more I think about it, I lean towards 2-2.

I voted 1-3.

I feel like literally any of the outcomes is possible, but IMO is ending the regular season with 6 or 7 wins is more like than 8 or 9.

I voted 1-3 but I'm very worried it'll be 0-4 with how we've looked the past few weeks. I hope I'm wrong. Before the season started I said anything less than 8-4 is a failure, and I still believe that to be true. That would be a 2-2 finish.

4-0: We would be in playoff discussion and I will be the most insufferable person to be around when amongst Hawkeye fans.

3-1: overall will be really happy to ecstatic pending if we beat Cockeye.

2-2: will feel good about the direction of the program. Prob won’t be running my mouth.

1-3: admittedly will be disappointed; but will still be encourage even with incremental progress.

0-4: will probably be full on over reacting on message boards. Will once again question if I’m a sane person for doing this year over year.

I said 2-2. Won’t love it, won’t really even like it. But I guess it’s improvement. Doesn’t really feel like improvement with the schedule, but hey, here we are…

What did you see? I see a statue at qb that can't connect on long balls. I see a qb that is zero threat to make anything happen with his legs. His greatest attribute as a QB is the fact that he has helped to bring in some talent and has drawn some attention for the cornhuskers with his off the field presence.

Dumbest narrative among Nebraska fans and people outside the program is that Raiola is "check down Charlie" who can't "connect on the long balls."

Being successful in the vertical passing game is about play action and 5 or 7 step drops working. Nebraska can barely protect him long enough to allow vertical routes time to set up.

Team is honestly more competent when Raiola is throwing the ball near the line of scrimmage.

True, but Raiola is awful at the long ball. I do feel like his best throw is about in the 15-20 yard range. Seems to zip it with authority and can place it well for the back shoulder if needed. There is probably one on tape that I don't remember, but can't tell you the last actual deep ball that has looked good where a WR can run under it. It's usually severely over or under thrown.

Raiola threw a perfect deep ball in the MN game that would have been a TD if hunter didn’t drop it.

We really need a 9 win season this year to lessen the sting of a 5 win season next year.

This is absurd in a lot of ways:

Indiana is going to lose 16 starters including 9 players to the NFL.

Cockeye is going to lose their whole offensive and defensive lines and will need another QB.

Washington may not be able to hang on to their coach. I think Fisch is going up end up getting a better job. But they play awful away from the West Coast anyway.

Rutgers and Michigan State are going to be dreadful again and have bad NIL options.

Illinois is about to lose 17 starters.

Nebraska's non con is effing terrible next season.

Ohio State in Lincoln and Oregon on the road are the only games that will have Nebraska as considerable underdogs.

Will Indiana be good again with Cignetti? Probably. But they basically have 12 starters who have played the last 40 games together.
