I know it's only one game but I'd feel a hell of a lot better about 2-2 than 1-3

That being said, I went with 1-3

I agree. There is a very good chance that this team could go 0-4 and we would be hoping to match our win total from last year in a bowl game on a 4 game slide. This season could end up very badly if we don't get out shit together on offense.

I saw a person in control of the offense. I'm not sure what you think good QB play looks like with a below average offensive line.
I think he is an ok qb. I think if he was more mobile you would see an offensive line that looks more average than below. You understand how easy it is to prepare for a non mobile qb right? Especially with an average OL.

I can't take this seriously. The O-Line is significantly better at run blocking than pass blocking. What a QB can do with poor protection, and/or the expectation that the protection will be poor?

You can believe what you want. I'm not in the business of trying to change people's minds, especially when facts don't matter.

The mo.bile QB thing has been a crutch for Nebraska football going back at least 15 years. Dylan is the highest level passer that Nebraska has probably ever had and it sucks that his uncle isn't keeping him upright, but him being more scramble-y would be putting a bandaid on a wound that calls for amputation.

My head says 1-3 my heart says 2-2. Can’t convince myself of more than that after watching the MN game.

TBD, i think people are overrating all of our last 4 opponents, they all have flaws. I think the most important thing is jsut the playcalling. Dana has gotta call plays that Nebraska can execute, not plays that he wants to call.

NW and Minnesota are gross teams that like to play gross football. UCLA and USC games will be more opened up. Cockeye is Cockeye, and who knows about PSU they could be in full free fall ala like 2007 or 2017 Nebraska by the time we play them.

All that is to say, I'd probably say 2-2, but 3-1 isnt out of the question. People are making USC to be a lot better then they are. Nebraska matches up better with them via style of play, then how they matchup vs Michigan, Minnesota, and NW IMO.

2-2 would get us to our best record in ???????

I would be happy with that if we play well in our losses. Minnesota style losses are what piss me off. No business getting boat raced in games like that.

I think 2 wins is our ceiling IMHO over the next 4 games.

I just don't like the way we are playing offensively right now, especially with a bendy defense.
8-4 represents some amount of progress. But this schedule was begging for at least 9-3 of the program is moving forward with any kind of speed.

Whatever the record is, it will likely be the high water mark until at least 2027, so it would be nice if the number were bigger.

We really need a 9 win season this year to lessen the sting of a 5 win season next year.

If I were to rank them in terms of how tough each will be, I'd go:

1. Cockeye. Not the best team but a team that won't make mistakes and take advantage of NU's typical Black Friday fuckery. It's a game where NU wins if they don't make mistakes but they always do.
2. USC. They'd be #1 by far based on talent but Lincoln Riley can be a liability, particularly on the road. I think this is a winnable game.
3/4 tie UCLA/PSU. I rank these the same as far as difficulty. PSU still has a lot of great athletes but they appear to have given up.

2-2 for me.

well this is depressing. However I was never in the camp of 9-3 and the playoff talk was just silly. We lost way to much on the DL and while the OL is a little better it's still not great. I am hopeful that we can continue to make strides in those areas and next years schedule won't seem so daunting.

This program has been making excuses and floundering for far to long when you consider the resources that we have at hand.

I voted 2-2. I feel like the potential is there one way or another.

I just hope we somehow beat UCLA. We are maniacs who are insatiable for further program information and projections. I don’t want to deal with a bye week where we’re lingering on a loss and have to go almost two weeks before we can start overwriting further expectations with more actual data. That could make the message boards go fully unhinged.

Beat UCLA, and either Penn St or Cockeye and then hopefully win our bowl game to go 9-4 for the season. I would take that as progress and something that I feel is sellable to help the program take the next developmental step.

The funny thing is a lot of people will say in here they’ll be happy with 2-2, then have an absolute meltdown when we actually do.
I went with 1-3, but i won’t be happy if it happens. I think there is a better chance we go 0-4 than 2-2.

I've seen a QB over the last few weeks that has now led multiple game winning drives in clutch time.
