Funny story about a Husker watch site that I never shared with you all. For years, one of the best watch sites in the Kansas City area was a bar called Callahan's off of 87th street in Lenexa, KS. They served Elk Creek Water on Gameday, played the fight song before the game and after scores, had Husker related shot specials, etc, etc. It was always a great place for Husker fans.

Well in September of 2024, that bar sold. It changed ownership and name the week leading up to the Colorado game. But Husker fans weren't aware of the change. So the evening of the Colorado game, roughly 150 Husker fans showed up that late afternoon. Well the new owner had already booked some 40 year HS reunion for alums from one of the local Shawnee Mission high schools. As the game got closer, the owner, realizing her dining area was packed with people in Husker gear started asking why everyone was there. We were all shocked because the Callahan's sign was still on the bar. The sale was that new.

Anyway, she basicaly kicked us all out. I've never been back since.

Now, if anyone is interested, Callahan's West out on K-7 and 83rd street is still open and still a Husker watch site. Its only 3 miles West of the old Callahan's.
