Only because they are pathetic. Cockeye is Nebraska's worst case scenario. Accepting mediocrity.
Id rather cycle through coaches trying to win then watch the abomination that is Cockeye football the past 10 years.

Problem is we consistently lose to them. Cockeye and Minnesota.
Sure, but that is because we have sucked and we have been losing to everyone. That doesn't make them good.
Thought experiment: Go back to the end of the 2014 season when Bo is fired would you rather
A) Have Iows's past 10 years. Their exact exact 10 years. You gotta go to Memorial Stadium every week and watch seasons where your QB is Deacon Hill, Petras, McNamara, etc. You watch them struggle to get 250 yards of offense but play good special teams and defense.
OR
B) Have Nebraska hire any other coach then Mike Riley or even keep Bo and let him coac additional years
Which option are you taking? i think you would have to be a true sicko to take option A
