I think once you know he's done this year you move as quick as possible so the search can start and you can have a new coaching staff in place when the portal opens
especially when you expect competition like Auburn, Florida and maybe FSU

Also if you think a coach is done you don’t want to muddy it by the team getting hot and finishing strong.

I love how Cockeye fans always downgrade both our HCs, OC/DCs and players.
But an opening like this comes along and they're like "makes total sense to hire Matt Rhule" which is an admission that he's doing well at Nebraska. But they have 10,000 other posts about how "Rhule is a clown!".

If Rhule arrives at the PSU game freshly shaven, wearing a suit, and elects to stay there an extra day for "visiting family" we should know something is amiss.

I think it might be the opposite. he's already basically the GOAT coach at Indiana. at PSU he'd always be in JoePa's shadow

Of that list, I'd say Wisconsin is a lock and FSU may become more likely.
The rest could squeeze out 7 or 8 win seasons and be fine for this season.
