A 58-year-old will play defensive lineman for Lycoming College this season 🤯
And he won't even be the oldest player to ever play college football ever.
It’s doesn’t sound right, but it’s true.
Meet Tom Cillo, a retired former city employee and strongman competitor.
Once he hits the field for Lycoming (a D3 program) this season, he’ll be the 3rd-oldest player in the history of college football:
🏈 61-year-old Alan Moore, K, Faulkner University in 2011
🏈 59-year-old Mike Flynt, LB, Sul Ross State in 2007
🏈 58-year-old Tom Cillo, DE, Lycoming College in 2025
The 6-foot, 230-pounder last played competitive football in 1980 as a high school freshman.
Since then, he worked for the city of Williamsport, Pennsylvania for 33 years.
But Cillo made sure to always stay fit.
💪 Broke the state record in his age group with a 580-pound deadlift
💪 Pulled 30,000-pound fire trucks in strongman competitions.
But now he wants to fulfill his high school dream of playing college football, despite the insane age discrepancy.
- 4 years older than his coach
- All 3 of his kids are older than the next-oldest player on the team.
