It forced you to ride Horn Brockett and Walsh through 2 months where they averaged 4 innings per start because you didn't have your two top dogs to bridge the gap to the end of games. Injuries happen in baseball but that is 3 really high leverage arms to go down all at once. If you want to complain about not having the depth behind them I can agree with that, but any team will underperform when 3 of your top 5 arms are either out or pitching through injury IMO.
