FAKE Nike Executives in Town

So I asked around to try and validate as I was kind of surprised… not only did I hear it was true but supposedly Nike’s leading interest is our womens sports and they feel that is something they can multiple value off of over a lengthy contract. Football is great and all but if not for our Volleyball, Softball, and Basketball quality of play it’s unlikely they’d be interested in us over someone like aTm or Miami.

Oh yeah, getting Nebraska volleyball would be a huge women's market for Nike

Throw a big Nike swoosh on sideline at the BOB for the ladies is good advertising when your the biggest name in apparel on the court of the biggest name in wVBB

Would have been cool if we were a Nike school during volleyball day, Nike would have put our a cool commerical for it, they tend to do that for big events
 
That's crazy. My brother is close friends with the Adidas Rep who is in charge of all college NIL programs for Adidas. I'll reach out to him to see if he has heard anything. If Adidas is giving Penn St, Texas Tech & Kansas all kinds of money and shorting us a bit I can see why we might switch.
 
Wonder if this helps to explain the seemingly out of nowhere surge in elite players hitting town. Maybe expectations of a large pool of money for NIL?

Big ups to Dannen and the university for trying to maximize money coming even if this is ultimately just savvy shopping around to drive up the price for Adidas

As stupid as you are every once in a while you make sense.

Problem is does this actually hurt football? Is Nike really going to give us as much money as Oregon. No. Especially when they refer to women's sports as the key.

I hate this. I will call Troy tomorrow.
