I will let the University, coaching staff and her NIL sponsorship give out whatever punishment they see fit. I would never stop being a fan of the Huskers or my favorite sports teams because of some social media activity of a specific player. None of us would have a team to root for if our favorite players said their inner thoughts and beliefs out loud and we were so thin skinned to stop being a fan as result.

lol I think Harper’s political beliefs have a lot do with this. To suggest otherwise is incredibly disingenuous.
For the record, I don’t agree with what she said at all. I also think a team or any other organization should be free to cut ties with anyone they want if that person doesn’t align with their views. This whole thing is all a bit tiresome after hearing all the bitching and moaning about cancel culture is all.
