I’ve had 501’s since the 70’s, and tried many other jean options. My outdoor pants consist of Sitka, Kuhl, and First Lite. I’m 6’1, 230 with body like a T-rex (longer torso) lol. I found these guys last year and fricken love their pants and t shirts! https://theperfectjean.nyc/

Peter Millar has been my favorite for awhile now. I can go to work, leave early for an afternoon golf round, and meet my wife for dinner afterward without changing pants or looking out of place.

Won't be everyone's cup of tea but Hiroshi Kato 4-way stretch jeans are the highest quality stretch denim. I got tired of blowing the seams out on my Levi's every year did some research. They're Japanese denim (highest quality) made in America (highest quality). Minimal design (very understated). Zipper fly (which I prefer).

Unfortunately they're $250 on sale and the front pockets are slightly too shallow. Bought two pair to test hopefully they last a long time for the price.

I wear mainly free fly pants. The only drawback is they are thin so they aren't good for winter.
