Oklahoma/Michigan - who wins?

Not necessarily.

Underwood will have started three games by that point, lived through whatever he lives through in Norman and at this point I still think OU has a better overall roster than we do. Now I could go position by position and find exceptions without, and as much as Rhule still has a ways to go before he’s proven to be a championship coach, he’s better than Venables in my mind. Add to that the fact that Lincoln isn’t exactly the nearly impossible road win it was.

All that said, I think we have a shot due to Underwood’s youth and their head coach.
I agree with this take and curious what your thought process is.

That's why ideally it'd have been better if Michigan didn't have to go into a hostile environment before he comes to Lincoln. Presumably will be better prepared for the trip to Lincoln after going to Norman. And, like you said I believe OU's roster probably has more talent overall than us.

That trip to Norman could play out either way for Underwood & team chemistry and by extension, us.

He goes in there drops a deuce, Michigan gets rolled and he’s maybe got confidence problems with just a home game agaisnt Central Michigan left to right the ship. He plays well and is part of why Michigan wins and that likely makes our life harder on the 20th.

I don’t know anything about the young man, but road games to Norman and Lincoln over a three week span is a lot to ask a kid that turned 18 in August. He’s got a grad transfer behind him that’s basically a statue, but is serviceable in the passing game, so if he’s totally rattled we might see him sit a series here and there.

I say all this knowing full well the ‘normal’ metric on Freshman quarterbacks doesn’t ever seem to apply to Nebraska opponents. They can somehow just light it up like they’re fifth year seniors.

I dont really lean one way of the other. I am very skeptical of Venebles. So I dont trust that OU will win just because its at home.

If OU losses, I think its the first step to being fired at the end of this year. Tehir schedule is tough. OU has been too good the past 2 decades, It would be nice to see OU go through a few coaching carousels.

On the other hand, its Michigan. After last season, I dont want them to get any more momentum. Losing would be nice to maybe prove that Moore is not the guy. If OU and NU beats them, that could lead to a rough season.
