Perhaps, but that didn't stop teenage LHR from holding his legs "high and tight" whilst water skiing after watching Jaws. Pretty sure I yelled "hit it" half a dozen times before the slack was even out of the line in my quest to get up and out of the water and away from the sharks that - in my mind - had infested Lake Pawnee by Lincoln.
 


A 1975 $3,000 Chevy Vega has been unearthed from the world's largest time capsule in Seward, Nebraska.
50 years ago.

Local shop owner Harold Davisson buried a brand-new, zero-mile Chevy Vega in a 45-ton concrete vault, wrapped in plastic and surrounded by a Kawasaki motorcycle, thousands of everyday objects, and walls painted with messages to the future.

To make sure no one missed it, he even built a giant concrete pyramid on top.

Guinness certified it as the world's largest time capsule, a record it held for decades.

On July 4, 2025, the vault was cracked open exactly as planned - revealing not just a car, but a perfectly preserved fragment of 1970s America.
