Something similar happened to me at an American Legion game when I was 21. Took my glove to catch foul balls. One goes up, high foul ball, first base line near the fence. I ran through the dug out onto the field, lowered my shoulder to move the first baseman, he went down, I tripped over him but made the catch as I fell.
I stood up, raised my glove with the ball over my head expecting cheers but no, name calling and swear words were yelled. I couldn’t believe it…how could they not be impressed by such an acrobatic catch? Whatever…the umpire did not need to tell me twice to leave. Screw those people.

That reminds me…on RSS there used to be a poster named @HuskerFanTherapist but for some reason, Rivals abbreviated his name to @Husker…rapist .
It caused all kinds of problems. Matya finally said either change your name or you’re banned. Not sure what happened.

I wish we could have gotten brown here in some capacity, he’s killing it up north. He has a good season he’s going to be named for some good jobs
