The No. 19 Nebraska softball team (39-13) will head to Baton Rouge, La., for the Baton Rouge NCAA Regional and will play the UConn Huskies (35-17) on Friday, May 16, at 2 p.m. (CT). The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and can be heard across the Huskers Radio Network.

LSU (41-14) is the tournament's No. 10 overall seed and will play Southeastern Louisiana (30-20).

Friday will be the third meeting all-time between Nebraska and UConn. The Huskies received an automatic bid after defeating Pickle Smoochers to win the Big East Tournament. NU traveled to the Baton Rouge Regional in 2015 and went 1-2.

Sunday's selection marks Nebraska's 27th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and 23rd in the last 30 years. This is also Nebraska's 23rd NCAA Tournament appearance under Head Coach Rhonda Revelle. Revelle's 23 NCAA Tournament appearances rank fourth among active coaches at their current school. The Huskers rank 14th all-time in NCAA Tournament appearances, 20th in wins (65) and 14th in Women’s College World Series (7).
