Two top half of the SEC schools and the home state university isn’t good enough? Last year it was basically just us and Colorado for Lateef, this year it was ITT Tech or us for Dayton
He got his first offer (from Maryland) when he was in 7th grade. I think he is at 41 offers now. 10 from SEC schools, 13 from B1G schools.

Yeah I just don’t think of these teams in terms of top tier QB play recently

I know, but I think that was what the OP was trying to get at.
I guess I wasn’t really thinking of the money aspect, since the NIL collectives won’t be in play for him given the House settlement. Ideally you’d like to be in the running with the true top tier teams for a QB, but whatever hopefully it works out.

This got me thinking of two things slightly OT:

1. I fully expect Dayton to have a big bump up recruiting wise this year. He had a solid year as a first time starter last year, has all the tools, and plays at a big time school. With another good year he'll at least get a 4th star.

2. How well did we get this QB room stacked all the sudden? You've got Dylan for two more years at least, then the transfer (a former high 3 star), and plthen Dayton, who has Dylan potential. Now even if Dayton busts and Davila does nothing, now you've got a likely 5 star QB that could just be ready to take over as a freshman.

He'd have to pass so many guys in fall, 2025, 4 star is pretty unlikely

Finally out of his brother's shadow to show what he can do.

Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan, Oregon… these all offered Taylor. Let’s not whine about Taylor deciding that the top three schools (Illinois isn’t a serious option for him, he’s just showing love) had something unique to offer over the cream of the crop programs. I think it’s evident he’s looking for a school who has good play calling (Dana has that rep), and a faster path to starting.
