CU has retired 4 jerseys in its history and no QB‘s. Since the McCartney era, I‘d put Hagan, Stewart, Koy Detmer, and Joel Klatt ahead of Sanders as far as their success + that of their teams during their time as a starter. You could even make a case for Mike Moschetti.

To be fair burrow should 100% have his jersey retired
 
How many QBs from Colorado got retired for being on 10+ win seasons or better got their jerseys retired?
 
You all are being too hard on Shedaur. He does have the highest completion % in Colorado history and 3rd highest in NCAA D1 history.

The fact that many sacks would have been avoided had he thrown the ball away is completely not relevant.
