Ok, can't lay off it any longer. The (sort of) spring game is right around the corner and it's time for everyone here on tPB to nut up and put forth yore season prediction.

Here we go...while I'm traditionally a sunshine pumper and normally laugh at the Simulation and the Sandy Vagina's, I'm not sold on the Rhule third year jump, for our beloved Huskers.

I hate saying it....but 7-5 - Finish with a winning record and there is a razor thin margin on whether to keep Rhule or not.

Wins

Cinci
Akron
Houston Christian for the Blind
Michigan (Has to be a night game and will be a razor thin win on emotion)
Michigan State
Northwestern (...and not a close game)
Cockeye (We butt fuck Cockeye this year at home to finish on a high note and everyone jumps back on the Rhule wagon)

Losses
Maryland (Because we always have that WTF moment after a little excitement is built up)
Minnesota (Because, well Row The Boat shit)
USC (We get embarrassed at home on Prime Time again to these clowns)
UCLA (The Rhule vitriol from the haters is at fever pitch after this train wreck)
Penn St. (Another big prime time debacle where we lose by at least 24 as the team comes out flat after UCLA)

Alright...what you got???

Same as you got except beat Minnesota because fuck Peepants, lose to Michigan but beat UCLA. So 8-4.

11-1 with a loss to penn state.

Rhule thinks he's getting tired of the media and fans now, go 7-5 and not have his expected year three jump.

Losses at Michigan, USC, UCLA, Penn State, plus another one that should be a win because that's what we do. Bowl game victory to get to 8 wins.

The more people say that Rhule always has a good defense the more that I think we take more than a step back on that side of the ball.

8-4.

Road schedule is easy, but road games are tough. Lucky we only have 4, and we won’t go 0-4, but we’d be doing excellent if we went 2-2. But then you’ve got at least a couple losses between cincy, Michigan, Michigan st., usc, and Cockeye.

9-3 seems like the ceiling. 6-6 is the floor.

Cincinnati- W
Akron - W
Houston Christian - W
Michigan - W (if they start the true freshman qb)
Michigan State - W
Maryland - W
Minnesota - W
Northwestern - W
USC - W
UCLA - L
Penn state - L
Cockeye - W

Done deal boss hand me the koolaid and a revolver
The schedule sets up eerily similar to the "we should be 7-0 going to Ohio State" thought last year.

@KC Cincinnati - Win (close)
Akron - Win
Houston Christian - Win
Michigan - Loss (close)
Michigan State - Win (close)
@Maryland - Win (close)
@Minnesota - Loss (by 10+)
Northwestern - Win (by 10+)
USC - Loss (close)
@ UCLA - Loss (by +10)
@Penn State - Loss (+20 or more)
Cockeye - Win (close, maybe, fingers crossed, please don't choke again)

7-5... and it will again feel that we should've been better.

There ALWAYS seems to be the following.

A team that's worse than what's predicted going into the season...and a team that's better than what's predicted going into the season. Who may that be??

I'm going with the previous year's record until N proves they can break through. Last Year I said 6-6 and for the 1st time in about 4 years we beat my prediction with a win the bowl game, to finish 7-6.

I’m prepared for a massive let down.
Raiola better show something of substance the first game or two or it will be a long season. He was incredibly underwhelming last year

We broke him against indiana. I'll never understand that game plan.

Can Holgerson work some magic? The offense did look better after he came around, but we definitely need to find a running game.
