Always look forward to this one from Athlon. Cannot remember a more positive review of Nebraska.

How is it we finally get a good d coordinator and he's going to leave and granted cockeyes d coordinator is about 500 years old but he's been there for a long time.for the lazy amoungst us:
Nebraska
“They’re going to break through this year, it’s just a question of how big. They should definitely be bowling."
"It’s all about the quarterback [true freshman Dylan Raiola]. They’ve tried to slow play it as much as possible, but he’s clearly their best option, the most talented, the guy who makes the system work."
"[Matt Rhule] has done a great job reworking the offensive talent; they’re going to have some breakout wide receivers, and they have a really deep group of running backs."
"[DC] Tony White is going to be a head coach soon, but getting him back for another year is just huge for them."
"I thought the shift to the 3-3 worked out really well for them, and they’re starting to look like old, or legendary Nebraska, with the size and talent up front on defense.

You might as well have just dropped an atom bomb on Swimtown and their lack of talent production for my entire adulthoodTo be fair, Phil Parker's defenses at Cockeye from 2012 to 2017 were average to below average in the Big Ten. They never started playing shut down defense until these players showed up, starting in 2018:
AJ Epenesa - from Cockeye
Anthony Nelson - from Cockeye
Parker Hesse - from Cockeye
Riley Moss - from Cockeye
Kristian Welch - from Cockeye
Nick Nieman - from Cockeye
Daviyon Nixon - 20 minutes from Cockeye in Wisconsin
Seth Benson - 10 minutes from Cockeye in South Dakota
Jack Campbell - from Cockeye
Logan Lee - 12 minutes from Cockeye in Illinois
Joe Evans - from Cockeye
Lukas Van Ness - furthest away from Cockeye, in Chicago
Cooper DeJean - from Cockeye
13 Draft picks, 9 of them from Cockeye, 3 of them from minutes away from Cockeye, and the furthest dude 3 hours from Cockeye. They all signed and played defense with the Hawks since 2018. Phil Parker never changed his defense prior to the 2018 season. They've been doing the same thing they've always done. His talent just got better.
No other program wanted to hire a 50 year-old head coach who had the 45th to 60th ranked defense from 2012 to 2017.
White is much younger and is seeing instant results with a lot less NFL talent.
We have produced some of the finest talent Notre Dame has ever put on the field, thank you very much. You might as well have just dropped an atom bomb on Swimtown and their lack of talent production for my entire adulthood

I don't think he'd have great options to go anywhere or have the urge to do so. It's kind of like when TO had McBride. Charlie had a few offers but I don't think he envisioned being a HC. I'd think Parker is at the age where he'd rather ride things out and he's comfortable there. How is it we finally get a good d coordinator and he's going to leave and granted cockeyes d coordinator is about 500 years old but he's been there for a long time.
