National Seeds/Hosts

- Even after splitting the first two games at home against Indiana this weekend, you can go ahead and mark off Nebraska as a regional host. The Huskers are down to 37 in the RPI, which is a 16-spot drop from where the Big Red was a week ago. Though the Big Red has had a special season to date, we did say on the NerdCast a few weeks ago that the Huskers had little margin for error the rest of the regular season. You're now seeing why we said that.

At-Large Bids

- It would be fascinating to know how the committee would parse out Maryland as of today. The Terrapins are just 10-11 in the Big Ten, but have clinched a road series win over Boston College, and are up six spots this week in the RPI to 29. That's in addition to having 13 wins vs. Q1 and Q2 combined teams. Those are solid marks. I also love the fact Maryland has a whopping 19 road wins this spring. But there's also the conference record.........
